Life
Insurance
The Federal Employees’
Group Life Insurance (FEGLI) program is the largest
group life insurance program in the world. The cost of basic
insurance is shared between you and the government (2/3
employee contribution and 1/3 government). In addition to
basic coverage, you may also elect one of three forms of
optional insurance.
Long Term Care Insurance
The need for long term care usually arises from age, chronic
illness, injury or disability, which renders you unable
to perform everyday tasks on your own. John Hancock and
MetLife have joined together to create Long
Term Care Partners, a service devoted solely to the
Federal program.
